The Alonso Quijano Foundation, an institution created in 2000 and dedicated to the promotion of reading, recently published by the Library English Yearbook 2009. The main priorities of the Foundation are, among others, the implementation of projects to promote reading, the organization of training activities in the field of reading and international development cooperation.
One of these tasks is the drafting and publication of this yearbook that in this edition, has enjoyed the cooperation of a scientific committee of over thirty people, who comes from the environment of libraries and the book industry. The Yearbook presents a comprehensive study of English library scene, and becomes a useful tool to better understand the work of various library systems in Spain.
